Maya: The fashion designer and textile illustrator Maya Masumi Sugawara was born in Lugano the2nd December 1980 from a professional photographer Swiss mother and the father is Japanese believer in the religious thought of Mahikari. She grows between Italy and Switzerland studying in Lugano industrial art and attended a fashion school. He has a passion for painting and graphic representation with the programs of digital illustration. Even as a child living in artistic environment does to the fact that the second husband of her mother is also a painter and artist painting on canvas with acrylic paints and a palette knife. The creation of Masumi Maya is intended for textiles printing on fabrics, clothing, furniture, neckties, scarves, or swimsuits.
